In USD today, that would be $8.70 to $10.25.

After today's rise of 5%, and presuming a simple 30% baseline premium to the share price, the buyout number would be ~CDN$11.63   or   ~US$9.17.

As for the possibility of Amazon buying out BlackBerry, that's been a motif in online speculation for years. I think it's due to the fact that the two companies have had a really good working relationship going back years. Here's an article from Yahoo Finance posted last February 10, where the main point of discussion is the early version of the recently updated deal between BB-QNX and AWS: https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/amazon-nasdaq-amzn-just-decided-220013678.html

Here's Ryan Vanzo's conclusion: "Either way, having one of the most powerful companies on the planet vouch for your reputation and capabilities is a strong vote of confidence. Amazon decided it needs BlackBerry. As autonomous vehicles take off, don’t be surprised if Amazon acquires the company outright."
