TESLA batteries

TESLA batteries

In 2030, Tesla plans to produce approximately 17× more lithium-ion batteries than the whole world produced in 2019.

Tesla hiring battery engineers in North Carolina. Looks like battery factory may be planned for that State. So a 2023-24 completion for that factory maybe.

Tesla also assembling 4 semis at Giga Factory Nevada right now. They will use the new higher density 2170 L cells, not the 4680s. One semi being sent to Alaska for cold weather testing. It's the new chemistry with reduced cobalt. Next tweak to the recipe will be increased silicon content.

HPQ samples most likely being sent to Giga Factory Nevada as well. Panasonic helps with research there / has 30% of factory where no photography allowed.
