RE:RE:RE:Avoid Headlines

RE:RE:RE:Avoid Headlinesyeah of course do not listen to the China Gov.... and can be said for the the USA and CDN Gov as well... why when someone on the factory floor tells you something I would believe that first... and when 3 factories tell you the excat same thing ... then confirmed...  you just have to look at Taiwan.. CDN gov should have looked at that back in March.... if they had to do the soc dis.. half would drown.... last year alone we had 80,152 die from cancer... with a two year total of 159,688 ... heart disease 52,541 with a two year total of 105,675... so good no one dies from anything but one has to understand that covid is way way...wayyyyyy.. down the list of what is killing Canadians... and maybe why the market is still hot... an forward thinking.... they are machines..

A friend of mine lived and worked in China for several years and she said you can't believe anything coming from their government.  They do not have a relationship with the "truth"
Ask any local China investigative journalist since this "pandemic" ....last I checked since Feb,
4-5 have either "died" or "disappeared"

There was supposed to be an investigation re: Wuhan Lab as per this Nov headline:

Where did COVID come from? WHO investigation begins but faces challenges

Identifying the source will be tricky, and investigators will need to grapple with the sensitive political situation.

AKA:  it would be racist to question the country of supposed origin as the first case appeared to come out of Wuhan.  How dare the WHO hold China to any accountability in consideration of the coincidental proximity of a Biosafety level 4 viral lab.

At least, some of the local Chinese citizens took it upon themselves to probe the outbreak issue and bizarre secrecy in consideration of the fact that the public ought to know the case-spread implications.

Nothing to hide, right?

UnderTheRadar wrote: Why is this the latest Headline in Canada?   Jan 9:

Canada’s coronavirus cases surpass 650K as Quebec imposes new overnight curfew

In a sound-bite news era, it is irresponsible for media to flash a number which is easily misconstrued by an already stressed-out public...650,000 could be misinterpreted as the current number of active cases.

It would be far less fear-inducing, if instead, the headline read:

Canada must be doing something right, eh?   Only 83,252 active covid cases representing 0.0002% of our "Great White North population".  To date, 552,388 confirmed Covid cases have fully recovered since March.

There are currently  23,839 active cases in Quebec, which is presently the highest rate in the country.  The overnight curfew reflects the walk-of-shame Quebec residents must endure as bakeries will remain closed.  No croissants for you covid-infested partiers.  Honte a vous tous!

Since the outbreak, the total number of covid cases in Canada has reached 652,473, roughly indicating a 97.4% recovery rate in nearly one year
.
Total deaths are now 16,833, assuming that number is purely a covid-based statistic and not comorbidity related death outcomes.

In the period 2018-19, Statistics Canada reported 15,404 influenza/pneumonia related deaths.
Also assuming no other major health issues coincided per individual case.

To date, covid testing in Canada has exceeded 14.5 million

I referenced 2 sites for Canada:  WHO & a local stats-based site which appear to be congruent.

Side note:  China is now reporting a scant 588 active covid cases in a population of over 1.4 billion. (same site)
To date:  160 million have been tested.  Only 4,634 deaths reported.  Not quite a quarter of the deaths in Canada which barely registers on the global population scale.

Wow.   I won't even mention the numbers in the US...outcomes are a little "sensitive" for our neighbor at the moment.

Simply amazing, China...how do you do it?

Must be due to "winning" immunities or perhaps a special diet?
