Enbridge Inc. is an energy transportation and distribution company. The Company operates through five business segments: Liquids Pipelines, Gas Transmission and Midstream, Gas Distribution and Storage, Renewable Power Generation, and Energy Services. Liquids Pipelines consists of pipelines and terminals in Canada and the United States that transport and export various grades of crude oil and other liquid hydrocarbons. Gas Transmission and Midstream consists of its investments in natural gas pipelines and gathering and processing facilities in Canada and the United States. Gas Distribution and Storage consists of its natural gas utility operations. Renewable Power Generation consists of investments in wind and solar assets, geothermal, waste heat recovery, and transmission assets. Energy Services provides physical commodity marketing, logistics services, and energy marketing services. The Company owns Aitken Creek Gas Storage facility and Aitken Creek North Gas Storage facility.

In a word....NO

What we are seeing is crass political theatre and arguably a third rate reallity TV program....it is just noise to the market...if you want to make money in the market you need to follow the old adage..."Keep your eye on the ball".....whether Trump is impeached or not won't make any difference

The key issues for the market going forward are things like the following....

1......On March 23rd there were 10,432 COVID cases reported....the average over the last number of days is 20X that number

2....The market for now is focussed in the short run on increasing the current stimulus package by another trillion or so. Don't forget that at the beginning of this Pelosi was looking a stimulus package of around 3 trillion....since they now "own" the Government...they could do it if they wanted to...if they do..the market will be very pleased for a while until they see the rising deficits and the tax hikes on corporations and at this point...look out below!!!

3...the market has already made some big bets on trillions going to renewable energy and hydrogen...these stocks have gone wild and the big money will cash in before they disappointment hits that these things like hydrogen won't really work...don't get left holding that bag!!!

Closer to home...

ENB continues to be the subject of late day crosses. If it is Buffet behind this...then he has about a month before he has to report his holdings or make an announcement before February 15th unless he gets a precedent-setting pass on reporting for 2 quarters in a row. What happens here is more important to shareholders of ENB that anything going on with Trump.

Either way...a few things are very clear...and we have discussed these things on this Board before...

1...no more major pipelines are likely to get approved in the US...ENB has the last two major projects that will ever get approved...

2...Due to Point 1...ENB pipelines will become increasingly valuable as time goes on since the "Greeen Revolution" will take decades/generations to happen despite the opinions and stupidity of the zealots like Whitmer and AOC and the new proposed Energy Secreatary under Biden.

3....Biden is likely to cut oil subsidies..especially for fracking....this will likely increase the WTI price which will make the customers of ENB even more profitable and increase throughput through the Mainline...

4....ENB has clearly stated that their focus will be on smaller projects where the costs and benefits are well known....in particular...reducing its operating costs and carbon emmisions..

5...From Point 4...as the world gradually moves to renewables...ENB will have secure and huge DCF to buy into this trend....

These are the things I am looking at...NOT watching the talking heads on CNN and FOX and MSNBC babble away incessantly every day giving their personal opinions as opposed to actually reporting any news.
