Thanks for that BC, very nice article. Here is a quote from it:

"We also have to make sure our (SI) source is readily available and inexpensive, otherwise it would have zero future in the automotive industry. We’re able to use silicon sources that are much cheaper, and much more eco-friendly, meaning a lower CO₂ footprint than other companies"

The question is what/who are those sources or process that offer more eco-friendly and low CO2 Si production?

I think I know one
