RE:This may be a silly question Just want to point out that construction on keystone xl started happening long before Biden. The lack of real progress in the construction of the pipeline was due to multiple legal challenges in the United States by special interest groups. Most of these special interest groups also have a special interest in the Democrats.
There does seem to be a united front in the US to see canadian heavy oil traded at a discount. Thankfully with transmountain finally making headway the tail winds will help the Canadian Oil Companies regardless of keystone XL.
That aside i think that we can all agree that our oil companies could learn a thing or two from TC Energies lead in regards to clean operation, emissions and partnerships with indigenous people.
For this reason alone, I am both happy to have a small stake in this company and a little scared due to politics. Either way this company is still a strong performer and a great dividend.
