Green day presentations in Montreal January 26th

Green day presentations in Montreal January 26thFitzgibbon and Karim Zaghib (researcher on Quebec's battery strategy)

According to Minister Pierre Fitzgibbon, in terms of electric vehicles, there remains a major challenge in Quebec since, for the moment, most of the battery components are imported from Asia. However, Quebec has everything to produce the cleanest battery in North America, not only talent and natural resources, but also a hydroelectric network that produces nearly 97% of the province's electricity. The government's strategy? Starting from the extraction of graphite, nickel, lithium and cobalt, supporting transformation, attracting here the manufacture of anodes, cathodes and electrolytes necessary for the assembly of a battery, and also developing the recycling of old batteries. While the province has cheap minerals and electricity, it also has brains, like internationally renowned researcher Karim Zaghib.
