RE:Airlines Government Interaction

RE:Airlines Government Interactionmlarson
AC shares should be worth about 8 bucks right now if not for being bailed out by the feds!  Who do you think is paying AC's employees 75% of their pay cheque is being picked up by Trudeau's bunch of incompetant ministers so as a taxpayer I also cry BS.  Who is suppose to pay the 1.5 billion spent on the airlines alone so far and more to come?  I guess the guy stocking shelves at Loblaws or the cashiers?  It is tough times and everyone should be sharing the pain but they are not!  I have no real complaints more guilt than anything else!  The stock market has been going gangbusters and I actually made money last year in a Pandemic.  That is nuts.  House prices at nutty levels in a pandemic just nuts.  Banks still rolling in profits in the middle of a pandemic nuts.  Unfortunately, eventually someone is going to have to pay the bills one day and when that happens there is going to be a world of hurt.  In the meantime I sould not be surprised to see AC continue down to $12-$15 level in the next few months as they continue to bleed cash!  I would love to be in the Carribean again right now but that will have to wait until next winter hopefully.  I can see it being expensive though as airlines need to pay debt.  That said, airlines have always liked to clear the debt board through creditor protection.  Conserve cash and reduce debt in one fails sweep.  Company's do not wait until they run out of cash before they go for protection so my opinion you have about 3-4 quarters if they keep bleeding they way they are well it becomes a wise business decision so not a good time to be on the buy side as AC is overpriced!
