Clearly some of the shorts are breaking the rules and I would assume their brokers have to be in on it somehow. Shorting 150% of the float makes no sense.
One of the stocks I've had for about a decade has been on the receiving end on multiple short attacks, where the shorts commission reports that are full of inaccuracies to drive down the price. Watching shorts get what is coming to them is very satisfying.
