President's Message!

President's Message! Welcome to the new year! I am also very pleased to welcome you to Plaintree's new website. We revamped the site for a number of reasons, including easier navigation. We also want the site to reflect Plaintree's success in broadening our product line, our technical capabilities, and distribution network. These are all steps to take us closer to becoming a leader in optical wireless communications. We have redesigned this site with both investors and customers in mind. Our new Investor Centre features a link to a live share price for Plaintree's stock, easier access to our Annual Report and other financial information. Our Wireless and Switching sections will provide information on products and applications for current and future customers. We are particularly pleased with the new 'Sheer Kahn' page which contains white papers and articles by our Vice President of Product Development, David Kahn. As the new year begins, so does a new chapter for Plaintree Systems. We accomplished a tremendous amount in 2000. We completed the transition from a switching company to an optical wireless and switching company. We greatly expanded sales, manufacturing, and engineering. We signed a number of reseller agreements with key distributors around the world. We started attending major trade shows around the globe. The next stage will be sales contracts for our recently introduced new products, and additional product releases. As I have stated, the evaluation units are getting a great response and we expect to report increased revenues in the current financial year. We also are very happy with reports from engineering on the eye safety and reliability of our optical wireless products. The year 2001 will be a period of tremendous growth for Plaintree and we hope that it will prove rewarding to our investors, employees, customers, and others who have continued to support us. David Watson President and Chief Executive Officer Plaintree Systems
