Some shorts hedge against the debentures. If that's why you are buying the common, buying the debentures actually forces them to cover the short. 

 


 

You are also protecting your downside and keep all of the upside plus interest and accretion debentures. Don't forget the bonds are convertible at $0.285.

A long term holder who is a Canadian resident, not making this switch should reconsider investing as a hobby.
