RE:CubicFarms - Large Holder Unwinding?SpivTrader wrote: Has anybody else noticed that over the past several sessions "Anon" has been dumping stock anytime shares get above C$.95 and are especially aggressive around the C$1.00 level. Anything is possible. However, it doesn't make sense to me that someone would want to hold the price back while trying to exit. The opposite should be true shouldn't it? the price should be supported while trying to dump, not held back.
Is it possible that the price is being held due to positioning? They just issued 12MM shares in an oversubscribed bought deal. The bought deal needs to be sold and the broker needs to make money. It is relatively unheard of for a bought deal these days especially a full sell out of the oversubscription.
There are ALOT of good things about this company. It checks many boxes and there is significant insider ownership with insiders still buying.
- environmentally friendly
- efficient
-saves energy
- grow all year round without weather and other risks inherent in farming
- looming food shortages and gov't never want food shortages becuase it causes obvious civil unrest
- can grow almost all types of seed 12" in height or less
- can be scaled in size
- invented and run by farmers. I grew up on one, things have chnaged a lot in farmng but the only thing that hasn't changed is the smarts and ingenuity of framers.
- can grow cannabis!! US is about to make cannabis legal
- it is technology based (see Tesla, a company with next to nil profits but a huuuge unjustifiable marketcap)
- They are researching AI as part of the growing process.
- minimal thinking and hands on work required
- cattle feed seeded and fully grown in 6 days. 1 ton every day? is possible I believe and can be scaled to 100tons or as many units as you can stage together. I would have to check this again to confirm but the nuber is large. Every year farmers hunt for bales. With a steady supply the stress and costs drop especially input costs.
- feel good fluffy investors....those with MONEY....LOVE LOVE LOVE this kind of thing.
- financial support is there
I checked the short report and it is nil. Probably because nobody is that stupid these days and the outstanding float is small and illiquid...for now.
negatives:
Large float already. About 130MM shares issued but almost 60% insider ownership.
I can live with it.
