RE:RE:RE:RE:Just a Tweet
Quark where's the proof that the new variants are more deadly?
There is an inverse relationship between more easily transmittable infection rates and deaths, so highly unlikely it is both more infectious and deadly. i.e. Ebola kills 90%+ of the people infected but it is easier to contain as it is more difficult to transmit.
Proof seems to be in the UK where one of the variants seems to have originated and in the past several months the infection rates and deaths have fallen sharply. They are falling sharply in the US and Canada too. At some point either through infection and surviving and/or vaccines we reach herd immunity. Historically that is how it has always worked minus the vaccine part this time around.
If you listen to Fauci, you will be sitting at home for the next year wearing a mask while infection rates are falling fast. Viruses mutate, they always have, at any rate even if there is another spike, we/governments cannot afford to stay in restricted mode as society will be bankrupt if not already. Enough of the bs already, sad as it is the only real cure for viruses historically has been herd immunity and the same will be the case today, but we got vaccines to assist this time. It is high time for economists to get equal airtime with the health expert that have done not much at the end of the day to avert this virus.
