RE:RE:Can we get the coca cola news already?Superman.com wrote: The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) is the latest beverage giant mulling an entry into the marijuana space. According to a report in BNN Bloomberg, the company is in “serious talks” with Aurora Cannabis (TSE: ACB) to develop cannabis-infused beverages. Although the world’s largest beverage company released a statement saying it had no interest in marijuana, it did say that it is keeping a close watch on the use of non-psychoactive CBD (cannabidiol) as an “ingredient in functional wellness beverages.” CBD is the chemical in cannabis that is often used for medical purposes, while THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is also used for treating some conditions, produces the high. This is a move away from the previous deals in this segment, between pot producers and alcoholic beverage companies, which are aimed at making drinks that would give a high to consumers. Nevertheless, this is a highly lucrative market, and may be extremely beneficial to a company that has been facing sluggish soda sales.
That was 2018 and this is what was said:
The chief executive of The Coca-Cola Co., the world’s largest beverage company, has reaffirmed that it doesn’t have any current plans to develop cannabis-infused beverages.
“We don’t have any plans at this stage to get into this space. That’s kind of where we are,” James Quincey said Tuesday during a conference call when asked for an update on what kind of changes would need to occur in the cannabis industry in order for Coca-Cola to develop drinks infused with cannabis.
So it tells me just that. Speculation is a great way to throw money away though so by all means take a guess and dump money somewhere. Supreme brought in a marketing manager at a time when they they are actively growing both 7 Acres and Hi Way. I don't understand how this is enough for people to go there with it. Instead I would be pointing to pur dew and their repiutation of being a solid clean CBD coupled with the in house extraction capabilities. For all we know she left Coca-Cola on a sour note... That being said we won't hear news with this company until it is real. Next likely bump in SP will be next ER. Or a surprise. So if you were hoping for Supreme (not Aurora per 2018) which Im all for forget about it because there will be no leaks unless it happens...
