RE:Court of Appeal Decision

For some time now the information was that the State Regulators and the Fed EPA were working hand in hand, side by side, towards the final two permits re the Florence mine go ahead.. But Arizona came in and the Feds did not. Hmmmm, are we in monkey wrench town or what? Never could understand why after such extensive testing and monitoring no permit. Not really a hand in hand approach to a very valuable copper resource.
The Appeal Decision IMO, shows why. It's not so much about the $1.7 M in court costs, it's all about the side statement that Taseko can have mining operations on land owned by the town. How could Taseko build a mine using Fed EPA permits when the possibility existed that the council could show up and say get off our land? What a legal nightmare that would be. Appears to be all solved now. Going to suggest the Fed EPA hit the send button and get our permit to us ASAP.
This case is not related to the EPA permit. The town had already lost and said they would not appeal any more. The only thing in question in this court case was who was going to pay Florence Copper's legal bills. The town lost that too.
This permit has been delayed because of Covid. Some parts of the federal government have been shut down for a year.
