It is actually is a good business stategy, smokers are creatures of habit. Almost every smoker I know has a brand they prefer, and they stick with it. They are not testing out new alternatives regulary, thus you have to offer an incentive for them to switch from their regular brand. Free packs and bogo deals are exactly how you do that. the stock isnt red because they are offering promotions and incentives, thats silly talk.
