Aurcana silver corporationV.AUN
Keep an eye on this one. A 140 yr old mine in Colorado, essentially a mono-metallic silver deposit which was briefly mined from 1880-95 (dates are NOT in error). The mine closed when silver subisidies by the US congress were withdrawn. The mine has had intermittant exploration when silver prices have risen (eg 1974-84) but never reopened because the veins are narrow and discontinuous with variable grades that would swamp a mill. Thus there has been no operating history for 126 years (outside a bried attempt in 2014-15 that went bust). Now new blood and investment is trying to sell this mine as a going prospect with the MM supporting the current price at 80 cents. Some interesting videos on U-tube: enter aurcana silver mine. The mine has not yet re-opened. There is a tenuous link to a massive Australian Olympic Dam type IOCG in the North West Territories owned by Fortune Minerals: T.FT.
