RE:RE:RE:FOCUS ON OWNING ASSETSSo let me get this right. I swing trade the stock, and have now saved a collective 40%ish on some of the drops. I post why I enter a stock, and post why I exit on that. And you have a problem with that because I'm not presenting some consistent view? Well duh! What do you think a trader does? And if they didn't do it (change their mind via what they see) they wouldn't be a trader. They would be an investor!
As for being of any influence, I could truly care less, and don't think that any post here makes any difference whatsoever to the stock price. I post for two reasons: First, to clarify my own thinking. Writing things down here forces me to slow down and articulate why I think something. Secondly, it provides food for thought, for other people to share their ideas and why they think them, and to (ideally) challenge each other to consider alternative ideas that we might not have come up with on our own.
The lowest form of life on these boards are the people who really have nothing intelligent to offer, yet are all too ready to attack a person who has a differing view than their own. Again, you WANT to be challenged. You DON"T WANT to marry a stock. If you negate these things, and just think you're adding something by being a cheerleader or defender, then truly, you are only food for the pros.
Invinceableone wrote: So let me get this straight, you are now trying to allie yourself with OTB as you know he is a very influential poster on this Board, seems strange you are trying to appeal to the masses through him under the guise of some self serving prophecy. Odd in nature, as I would strongly disagree, if I am allowed an opinion as I am certain OTB can respond accordingly.
I like to think quite the opposite actually as I see people like OTB, AirlineInvestor, Julia Roberts as solid sources of information and facts on AC. They never waiver in fact and always stick to prudent, verifiable facts and I believe if they truly saw all the red flags you claim to see that they would have the decency to point that out,as they seem fair in nature to me.
I think the issue with most Contrarian Investors or individuals who take a short position and then a long and flip/flop in their methodology is when a concern arises. When it becomes more of a concern is when those opinions are adversley timely in nature, which seems to be the Motis Operandi of some people on this Board, who claim to be for AC and then abrubtly against.
This is where I personally have an issue with individuals as it quickly dilutes anyone's credibility. Just my thoughts!
