RE:RE:RE:Global news clipYY, we are still just talking primarily detection which can help reduce subsequent spreading so that is the secondary prevention downstream effect. If proven, I see the importance of it as detecting concentrations that are well below those that can infect. So, as soon as the unit detects covid, it is like a fire alarm, it gives you a chance to get out of the area BEFORE it is engulfed by fire. You walk into a dealership where BC shows as being safe, you are in there wheeling and dealing and then you learn that BC has gone off, you have a chance to exit hopefully before the concentration level became infectious. I guess if you design the space that way, then you would also have some kind of sense who the infected individuals are for more effective tracing. Unless someone cites privacy issues in such a case, where the argument would be that my privacy was more important than me potentially infecting a bunch of folk - which sounds like an irresponsible argument but unfortunately that is partly the way it is playing out now. Your may be notified that your kid was in a classroom where there have been a covid case but they won't tell you who the person is....obviously different level of risk if it is your buddy you sit beside on the bus....and ignoring siblings. I would just say they gotta work on the price because this is not the solution but one of a suite that add to the overall costs for businesses. And if the government will be calling the shots on when you have to close regardless of having a BC, there is not as much incentive. Some customers may put a premium to places with BC but some will care about it as much as imposed restrictions.
