My point was that while it is an atttractive and potentially useful application (the man trap scenario) it is not enough for the reasons you have so eloquently, but needlessy, repeated.
But you do touch on something that deserves dissection - and that is this whole issue of privacy and "civil liberties". It seems like it is a bit of a minefield. There will ceratinly be people who will not cooperate when a detection occurs and there certainly will be issues and sensitivity around dsiclosing publicly the identities of individuals involved in any detection events. I have to imagine that potentila legal mess is creating unwelcome aerodynamic drag as we attempt lift-off. Sure, we avoided regulatory approval but we can't escspe foreseeable real world legal implications associated with the technology. But as we have seen new technologies bring new opportunities to figure things out.
And personally, I expect an upgrade to the unit that will allow connectivity to the text based exposure alert system you (and we) already have... right?
