Omai Gold Mines Corp. is a Canada-based exploration and development company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, evaluation and development of mineral properties. It holds a 100% interest in the Omai prospecting license that includes the past producing Omai Gold Mine in Guyana, and a 100% interest in the adjoining Eastern Flats Mining Permits. The Omai property is located within the prolific Guiana greenstone belt in Guyana, located on the north coast of South America. The Omai property consists of one 4,590-acre prospecting license granted directly from the government and held 100% by Omai Gold’s wholly owned subsidiary Avalon Gold Exploration Inc. (Guyana), and two Mining permits for medium scale operations totaling 1,519 acres are held 100% via a commercial contractual agreement with a Guyanese company.

Drilling Results Review...Part 2

The mineralized zones that were identified are approximately 100 to 150 metres below the existing Wenot Pit...they left a lot behind by the looks of it...not only that the deposit is most definitely open at depth...underground mining operation...perhaps.

That is for much later...right now they will look for resources close to the existing Wenot Pit infrastructure...this will cut the extraction costs significantly namely strip ratio significantly...thanks Iamgold!

I can inform you that they have finished five holes todate (Phase 1)...how?...by this comment...

Drilling is currently on the south side of the pit and drilling back to the north side. Songela, a well-established Guyanese company, is the drilling contractor. A single rig with two shifts is being used.

The first five holes were drilled on the North side of the pit and drilling back to the south side...as per drilling program illustration. According to the plan the third hole was drilled at section 5130...50 metres West from hole 2....the fourth hole was drilled at section 5030...100 metres West from hole 3...the fifth hole was drilled at section 4435....600 metres West from hole 4...chasing a completely different structure...interesting.

The drilling crews are working two shifts daily...it took them 12 days to drill the first hole and 10 days to drill the second hole..I expect the same timeline for the duration of the drilling program....we are going to get a steady flow of news releases over the next couple of months...very nice!

I love this comment in regards to the deposit..."alteration and sulfides".

This is only the beginning...Silvercorp is in for the long haul..they own 15% of OMG...they will participate in future Private Placements..no doubt. They lost to a higher bid for Guyana Goldfields. Sandstorm holds 9.9%...not sure if they will participate further as per CEO Mario Stifano.
