RE:Each to their own,Swim, unfortunately it could have.  Fear is often a more powerful motivator than greed.  and maybe it didn't make anyone panic sell, but could very easily have kept some people from buying more when it was so cheap.  And that is why LW and his cohorts that make a handsome living driving the price down on dozens of stocks per day.  Sometimes they are shorting stock, sometimes they are just trying to get a lower price, and sometimes both.   You only need to look at LW's posting history to see that he is bashing 9 out of 10 stocks that he posts about it.
