RE:Playing Catch Up!I fully agree here. If it was just an apples to apples comparison I would say the U.S. would win the race, but it's the vaccine uptake part of the equation there, that will slow them down significantly and allow Canada to catch up and surpass. Now there's a State offering a free beer with a vaccine, and roaming vaccinators at sporting events, or even paying $$'s outright as an incentive. Good on the "getting creative" scale, but incredibly pathetic that these incentives are needed at all. "Ya, I'm willing to risk dying, but a free beer? Ok, Jab me!" Dumb as dumb gets.

Because we have a small population we will actually catch up and possibly surpass them by that date depending on the uptake. The US is have difficulty now as they are reaching some of the populations who are not sold on vaccinations. Canada as a whole are more sold on vaccination. Given the US is now opening export from their plant to Canada and based on predicted vaccines which will be some 20 million plus May/June and that does not include J&J, AZ or possibly Nova which could be approved any day now. That would bring us up to 70% as well! We are now over 30%. In theory we could hit 80% of the adult population based on predicted deliveries by July 4th!
