Far fetched thought but who knows, nothing surprises me these days, but what if a $5m business expense every decade or so is cheaper than high quality security? Some people say we don't charge enough but if criminals know our rates then does it enable them to lowball us?..lol.
Seeing all these companies hacked, one has to wonder whether their security is all what it's supposed to be. Could be all security companies are vulnerable or no one wants to buy the good stuff. Even Crowdstrike could be a sham but still cheaper to pay ransom than buy the best. BB seems to be impervious so far but I know all that can change. Just hope we're not charging too much.
