RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Stating The Obvious, Perhaps, But ...I do not understand why the new law keeps coming up? Permits are being granted, just not to $GQC so far it would appear. Would not the new mining laws apply to new applications for permits/mining only? I would think old requests from years ago would be grandfathered and continue through the process while obviously taking into consideration a proper environmental study which meets today's standards as part of the process. morecents7 wrote: This is bang on. The new government is trying hard to bring new legislation in that smooths the way for development while protecting communities and gives them a more fiar part of the proceeds. At the same time, they are trying to make sure that facts drive the decision making. In the recent past, it became pure politics as there was no consistent open process to work out the real impacts of a mine. If they didn't work this out as new law, and just decreed the mine would open, it would be a very unstable situation and feel corrupt in the eyes of many. Hopefully they succeed. Anyone still in this stock assumes that they will. And that is why the sp hasn't dropped back to 10 cents, and that is why GQ hasn't used their cash to buy another property somewhere else.
