RE:Peru The Peru and Chile elections are creating uncertainty about the future business enviroment. Nothing worse than long term uncertainty for share prices. With bad news, at least you see the picture. I bailed this morning.
I will say this....Berenguela (Peru) was their prize possession. If the pro capitalist wins, and its looking better than it did, then that would be a strong positive. The problem is that the other 2 properties are in Chile which now looks worse than the Peru situation.
One more thing, and this could be very important, the talk is of taxing profits. Well explorers do not generate profits unless they decide to mine the asset. So will they create a special tax for explorers? If not, then if a company is bought out by a miner, the purchase price will need to be adjusted lower as the mining tax reduces profits.
