Dividend Growth Split Corp T.DGS

Alternate Symbol(s):  DDWWF | T.DGS.PR.A

The Funds investment objectives are to provide holders of Preferred shares with fixed, cumulative, preferential, quarterly cash distributions and to return the original issue price of 10.00 per Preferred share to shareholders at maturity; and to provide holders of Class A shares with regular monthly cash distributions, targeted to be at least 0.10 per Class A share, and the opportunity for growth in Net Asset Value per Class A share. The Fund invests, on an approximately equally weighted basis, in a portfolio consisting primarily of equity securities of Canadian dividend growth companies. In addition, the Fund may hold up to 20% of the total assets of the portfolio in global dividend growth companies for diversification and improved return potential, at the Managers discretion.

RE:RE:DGS Announces Successful Overnight Offering

RE:RE:DGS Announces Successful Overnight OfferingWell for sure a positive is that it improves liquidity, but buying at or near a market top, does not provide much room for capital appreciation.
SO far today the stocks in the portfolio are doing really well, BUT, there will be the inevitable underwriter selling in the week or two upcoming.
Actually a bit surprised DGS held up so well in light of the offering price...
I wouldnt rule out some selling later in the day, and then intensifying in the next week.
However that will be dependent on the markets, today financials are VERY bullish with the CAD banks reporting some great numbers. I see big dividend hikes and buybacks in the future for them.

Question.

With thie overnight offering.

How does this position DGS moving forward.

Is this seen as a positive move by them?

How will the proceeds of this offering be used in terms of growth?

do they use the money to buy more shares in their portfolio?

Thanks for your input as it is very much apprciated.

Cheers,

Bully
