Agreed.
He has nothing to brag about given he was trying to get everyone out of TH and in to GLPG.
That chart shows a bigger collapse than even TH's high a few years ago!

I think they saw the January 6th attack on the capitol in DC and overreacted due to the chance that would lead the markets to collapse and cause the window for them to access funds easily close. From the board of directors perspctive, they were likely seeing themselves as well into overtime to be cashing up in preparation for the spending on cancer and NASH R&D. Also, we have seen a lot of hiring going on and the desire to cash up fast also likely reflected Paul's desire to build out a more robust team. Luc was very careful with how he spent money but Paul comes from a big company and was not used to such a lean supporting cast. You likely have noticed how many Executive Assistants they are hiring - I would not have thought the need for those was a thing anymore. So, hopefully Paul's confidence on cancer turns into reality as they will never be short of funding if that is the case. If not, TH will have a long and expensive NASH trial ahead of it and raising new money will be feasible but will likely at a price that we may not like very much. If cancer is a winner, however, partnership money will be flowing and price of new cash will not be much of an issue as big pharma will be anxious to get a piece of TH's PDC cancer action. As I have said previously, it might be that big pharma will just want to buy TH out altogether if cancer looks intriguing later this year. If a big pharma offers a high enough bid, the board' of directors's lawyers will alost certainly tell them they need to let shareholders decide whether to sell or not. So, we may get to decide whether to sell or not if cancer is a winner. That could be interesting!
