RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Great Q. One of the best in Years.Parcheg - I'm not a fan of equalization payments that often feel very lopsided but at the end of the day, someone needs to make the poutine. Seriously though, I don't care so much because we need Quebec's deepwater ports for shipping containers. If they separated, it would just create a bunch of bogus importation charges and we'd lose even more. Their hydroelectricity is a godsend for the east. Their mining industry gives us lots of other resources that flow back this way and if it weren't for their forestry industry where would all of our covid toilet paper have come from. It's a bit indirect but they can rip us off for oil and we can lowball them for zinc, copper, and everything else they make so we can all laugh about it. Stats don't lie, on average, people in AB make way more money than people in every other province or territory and our taxes are the lowest. I make more money and pay less taxes and from those low taxes I can still give lots to the rest of Canada. I gave up worrying about this issue long ago because there are ultimately many benefits flowing in all directions. If you want some of your money back from QC, buy some Couche-Tard!
