When real estate keeps going up 10% each year, how can you say that the inflation is under 3%?

Another thing, in the past I had arguments with Statscan about the REAL INFLATION in Canada, and accused them of "cherry picking" prices to calculate the CPI.
They said that they had "suggestions" from their political masters.
I alway maintained that the real CPI was always hovering between 4.4 and 6.1 %.
In summary: who can you trust?
