RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:GEC Report on Russian Disinformation

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:GEC Report on Russian Disinformation Resilience... I don't get your point. Simply raising a few concerns.....hey, even Marshall himself indicated during the interview that there are boundaries he wouldn't cross.
Resilience19 wrote: @Max, I think that the point is that we are invested in DM and should take it as it is or move on to other businesses that may better suit our respective ideological preferences.

Otherwise, we'll end up having a never ending stream of posts highlighting elements they may not like about DM's business (i.e. those who don't believe in COVID because 'it doesn't exist', anti-vax because 'its a way for governments to control us', those against AI and robotics (RPA) as this could lead to a real life version of 'Terminator', those against managing information because 'it will lead to the next Orwellian 1984' etc, etc).

So, wannabe DM investors are better off to check their respective ideologies at the door, before investing in it, or simply go on to invest in other businesses that don't tread in areas which lead them to second guess their values (i.e. an environmentalist is probably better off not investing in O&G or a health-conscious person not to invest in Krispie Kreme).

My two cents.

I have read on this board many times about using this technology to monitor domestic extremists or monitor disinformation from various domestic groups....this is a red flag...we have to be careful here. My point is AI can be used very effective against external forces....but strict check and balances must be placed on our governments and it's intelligence entities from turning these technologies against it's own people. Just a fyi...I work in Supply Chain management...we have been using AI for Data mining, Customer Analytics...etc. The economic benefits are endless for AI on the business side. DM relationship with MDA opens up the possibilities for using AI in space...which is now becoming competitive between countries. As you say, we are here to make money from investing in DM....and i want to see these technologies used for good purposes...JMHO
