The jump out thing about Russ's retirement announcement was the short 12 days of notice. Quite abrupt, and abrupt things are usually driven things. Wondering here if the permit is forthcoming on the 30th/June, for Russ to announce. What a way to step aside, notice of a second mine which doubles our copper production. There is something in the wind. Maybe even an NP deal?
Go Yellowhead, go New Prosperity, Go Taseko
Or it's bad news and they Are dumping him. Things can go either way.
Highly doubtful Rusty's retirement is due to bad news. First, if his forced retirement were due to epic screwups on his part which led to a permit denial or the like, the BOD would have him announce it before firing his azz. Second, the BOD wouldn't simply move up (promote) personnel (Stuart, et al.) already in positions running the company. No, if Rusty shat the bed, new blood (CEO / Pres) would be brought in to restore investor confidence. Everything is fine.
