RE:GT still showing as a professor at UConnIMHO, I think health was among the factors. What probably happened is that when Poet pivoted to InP and silicon-based solutions, Geoff Taylor was no longer needed in a leading role. He is onto to something that may bring an astounding breakthrough to the industry in the future, but it is in his and Poet's back pocket for now. For a brilliant man passionately continuing his research during his retirement, he can continue to experiment unpressured by the timelines and duties of a public company.. It became quite clear to SV that GaAs has a much longer timeline and cost to develop and at the present time it is not what customers want. Could he be upset? I think it would be normal for someone devoting 30+ years in research to feel that way. But at the same time, Poet is a business that must move forward sooner rather than later. SV has found the way for Poet. Peter Copetti had to find the people to find the way, so thank you Peter.
