RE:Copper smelting pricekonrad...I would have to look it up specifically but I am 99% sure that the AISC (all in sustaining cost) of $1.86 for the underground portion, does include smelting charges.
AISC is an (almost) standardized method of costing to try capture all cost thus making it easy to compare the commodity price to the cost to get it out...including things like replacing capital equipment along the way.
Example: 60 million pounds of copper gives about $111 million to cover all costs of getting it. That is why NCU is so great relative to it's trading price.
