RE:RE:Eric Nutall post: So far the ESG crowd is putting it all on a charge card, the taxpayer hasn't gotten the bill yet. They don't offer an attractive alternative, unreliables degrade standards of living don't add to it. Lets see what happens when the bills come due. Trillions being spent, the tab has yet to arrive.
There is no alternative today to oil. Nukes might be a possibility but apparently the ESG crowd is intolerant to that technology.
My concern is whether this split in society leads to the loss of democracy as the green elite decide what is best for us. Take it, like it and your paying for it and be happy we let you, but don't tax private jets. Seems a theme lately, Covid has stretched their imaginations.
Our PM introduced a bill just a month ago that allowed the gov't in power to regulate what is said on individual social media accounts, the White House now admits to working with social media to control information. In Canada our media is subsidized by the gov't , owned by the same elite who run the gov't outside of the state paid for CBC. Our most recent Governor General came from the CBC as have many before her, they all hang in the same circle. The U.S. is similiar that the left now in control of gov't are working with corps to "manage" information they deem acceptable. Yes they have decided they are all in, not sure how this ends. In the U.S. the justice system is chasing down ex Presidents. None of this seems healthy for democracy.
