Who’s Test Driving Who?

Who’s Test Driving Who?Rio cannot be trusted. In 2020 they destroyed 46,000 year old caves in Juukan Gorge  for corporate greed. WRN has spent over a decade earning trust and social license. Social license is not easy to obtain. Obviously, Northern Dynasty were not able to earn social license on Pebble, as were none of their predecessors. WRN now has 100% support of the local community. It took concerted effort on the part of Paul West-Sells and the FN to earn that trust. We cannot afford to lose that trust dealing with a greedy Australian mining company. And I do not use the word “greedy” lightly. Many of the mega Australian mining companies are similar. In fact, the current Australia PM Scott Morrison is in bed with these folks. It’s the mantra they preach. Unfortunately, this way of business does not farewell in Canada. I’d suggest we are test driving Rio, not the other way around. Pebble lost out because they were never able to get social policy. Personally, I don’t think Rio has the best track record, nor do any other of the Aussie majors. I say prove yourselves.
