RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Insider transactions July6I do agree with what you are saying. Having too many family and friends on the board becomes an echo chamber for the person in control. But, I do like diversity of knowledge on the BOD and was excited to have Mr. Branchaud join the board recently because he has a law backround with mining companies.
Abcourt has the potential for some major growth in the not too distant future and they need to have a board with at least some background in a growing company. I think it is a real balancing act...growth. Too much horsepower on the overhead side, and a company can get bogged down in paper. Not enough horsepower on the overhead side and an errant piece of paper can stop day to day mining operations. Being shutdown for 8 weeks because of a motor problem cannot happen again. Has someone been assigned the task of searching out sources for a replecement motor and sources for any other key pieces of equipment like that. I would consider that a very important job and more of an overhead type job. Is it a full time job, probably not, but I would not want Mr. Hinse doing it. He is too valuable planning the mining operations.
I read a book about spies during WWII and it turned out the best saboteurs were former insurance adjusters. Their back ground gave them the experience to know what small bolt or electrical component could shut down a factory for long periods of time. but I digress.
A board member with growth experience would be helpful and if a board member cannot contribute experience that they are not needed.
Ken
