RE:RE:RE:Changes to CDC RT-PCR Test Its kind of irrelivent really. Acuvid from Therma is an Antigen test (Saliva) ...fast < 15minutes.  PCR tests are from DNA (Nasal swab)....24-28 Hrs in a lab - more comprehensive but expensive and slow. In reality its more good for Acuvid then bad since our test is more simple but will work on any known derivative of SARS plus any known pathogen. PCR tests will continue to be slow and will need to get tweeked (have their chemistry enhanced).  Hope this helps....
