Whitecap Resources Inc. is an oil-weighted growth company. The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets. Its core areas include the West Division and East Division. Its West Division is comprised of three regions: Smoky, Kaybob and Peace River Arch (PRA). The properties in its Smoky region include Kakwa and Resthaven, all located in Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Montney resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. Kaybob is located in the Fox Creek region of Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Duvernay resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. The PRA is its original asset area. RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Seems like there’s no end too sellingThis is what I have learned after years of watching insider buying: 0.  There are maybe a handful of trades that I have seen that indicate a market top or bottom.  I swear some executives even get away with buying as little as possible of company shares knowing it will drop in price.  From what I can tell, Whitecap is trading about 40% under what its market value should be yet day trades along with whatever oil is doing that day.  More often than not, even if oil is up energy stocks are not.  There is a large disconnect from valuations.  Last year laid bare the fact the oil market has very weak underpinnings and many companies are now reliant on OPEC and vaccines to stabilize the business model.  I feel like the algo's will push around the stock but not enough to restore the full value of where the shares should be at.
