Not someone but the board as a whole. Paul migth be the one who lied openly but to think that he is acting alone is naive.
The board had this information the moment China refused to buy the shipment...
One of the board responsibilities to shareholders is to provide timely information on material matters that can impact investment decisions.
Not only was this information not provided to shareholders but we saw EC selling shares in the market with this inside information. Then we were openly lied about it.
When the board thinks it is alright to lie to shareholders what can we expect from it? what else are they hidding? what else will they hide in the future?
I lost a lot of confidence on this board. Having a CEO who is not a good communicator is something I could live with... but having a CEO and the board lie to us is a different thing....
Ian sounds like a good BSer but he will have to earn my trust.
