RE:RE:RE:News of delivery of massive Hydro-Quebec delivery to NYCThere already is a link between the Churchill Falls and Muskrat Falls generating facilities. There are two (2) 250km high voltage alternating current transmission lines connecting them.
To add to this, the Muskrat Falls generating facility generates more power than is required by the domestic market and so the surplus was planned to be exported. Of course, if that power is needed by the domestic market then I'm sure it will no longer be exported.
Cheers.

Nalco is the supplier of electricity in Newfoundland and Labrador and there is no love between Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador . Nalco has lots of power coming on line at Muskrat Falls. Muskrat Falls is in eastern Labrador. Currently Labrador City gets it's power from Nalco/Churchill Falls. Churchill Falls power is sold already to clients in western Labrador such as IOC and to Hydro Quebec and no more is available. Hydro Quebec will not give up what it is contracted to receive just to please Newfoundland and Labrador. Power is now transmitted at 735KV in this part of the world. This power cannot be transmitted over a few sticks in the ground. 500 kms of transmission line will have to be constructed to get it from Muskrat Falls to Lab. City.
Big Moe please read my previous posts for fiurther information.
We are easily looking at 3 years before receiving any revenu from the 130 torches. A contract may be signed for the supply of the torches just to ensure their availability when they are needed.
I am long on PYR and am adding to my meager holding on dips.
