Horn River - Apache Now - Paramount ResourcesIs it too soon for Horn River Gas?
Maybe not, if it just means a few well completions.
Well with Gas prices on the rise, and gas being recognized as the transition fuel of the future, it is time for POU to get all their DUC's in a row.
DUC's in this case are 14 wells drilled but not completed in the Horn River. Time to Frac those wells and add a lot of dry gas boe's to the production mix at a very low cost. Essentially the cost of completiion and well tie in. Think of it as 1/4 cycle economics and the opportunity is NOW..
With gas prices soaring, what better time to bring on one of the most gas prolific basins in the country, and with LNG canada proceeding, and a huge demand for gas on our doorstep, this is dry gas, cheap to produce, with huge 10 BCF wells.
There doesn’t seem to be much question about the potential for natural gas out of the Horn River Basin (HRB), Liard Basin, and the Cordova Embayment in Northeast British Columbia (BC). The HRB alone may possess up to 650 Tcf of reserves, and one eye-opening estimate prepared by Sproule Associates in 2012 suggests these three formations may have combined resources between 809 and 2,222 Tcf.
