RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Scoopin the grouperWhat I really want to hear some day is a PR that goes something like this (THIS IS NOT A REAL PRESS RELEASE. IT IS A HOPEFUL EXPECTATION OF SOMETHING THAT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE.
"The Five Tribes and Taseko along with the BC Provincial Government have worked out an amicable solution that allows for the development of the New Prosperity mine and the preservation of Fish Lake and virtually all of its surrounding hunting and trapping habitat. The tribes will partner with Taseko in the design of the mine and the restoration of the mine site at the end of mine life. In addition Taseko will be building health clinics and community centers in surrounding tribal communities as part of its investment, not only in the environment, but also in the local communities that will provide employees for this important part of the local economy. Tribal leaders are encouraged that this project will not only enhance the economic status of the tribes, but will also keep future generations of young people from leaving tribal areas to search for jobs in larger cities and will at the same time preserve Fish Lake and surrounding tribal claim area for recreational and sacred purposes.
Taseko has several potential suitors actively pursuing a potential partnership with Tasekon in building the mine."
