RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Target C$48Maybe I am a little uninformed , MM, but I don't see how Crypto's will ever be of any importance to me. My drug dealing and tax avoidance days are behind me; back then it was all done with hundred dollar bills (it was a shame when they cancelled the thousand dollar bill - they were pretty). And my bank handles my not complicated banking very nicely, and these days almost completely sans paper money. When I wish to transfer money to another country , that is simple and not costly.
And if I were to ever put money into a savings account, like back in the old days when they paid interest on those, I would be very glad to have the government deposit insurance. And the carbon foot print of using my visa or debit card is next to zero.
And when governments move into digital currencies, though to me it is already all digital and seems to work just fine, and we have to use them or there is some advantage to using them, I will be happy to use a government of Canada issued Digital, Crypto, whatever, currency. A private currency - not on your life.
