RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Target C$48

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Target C$48Let me discuss, all in good fun, some of your statements MM.
Now I know this is suppose to be about EDV, tho I am not sure who made that rule; but the problem is what's to discuss?  Someday there might be some news about what they will build next, and the numbers for sure will be interesting, but we pretty much know them already.
And there aren't any possible takeovers to discuss, just not going to happen.  At one time I thought EDV, or B2Gold should take over Barricks African operations, when Barrick was having so much trouble in Tanzania for cheating on their taxes, and generally making a hash of it all.  But that time is all past.  So we wait for an update on production in the 3rd quarter I guess.  But do I care?

Anyway , back to your Crypto thoughts.  It is true that there are things that people initially dismiss that then become important.  One thing I would add to your list are cars.  I remember, like it was yesterday, back in the late 1800s , yes I am pretty ancient as you   deducted, when cars started to come in.  And they were considered a joke, or useless novelty.  But then someones figured out how to make money from them , and here we are.  Cars will single handedly be the biggest reason that the final human lineage - homo sapiens, possibly ( I hate saying probably - I have grandkids) become extinct.  If cars had remained a novelty, cities would have been built for people.   People are just now, to late mostly, figuring that out. My point is that because something becomes popular, isn't necessarily a good thing.
I have also seen many many things first get dismissed, become popular and seemingly vital, and then disappear just as fast.  Faxes, Blackberry phones, Kodak , bell bottoms, Facebook , come to mind.
So I don't think there is an argument either way about new stuff.

And yes banking could be so much better.  And changes happen so slow.  It has taken the west forever to figure out cashless payments, and it still doesn't work all that perfect.  But is that a reason to give it over to an unregulated, unknow ( who exactly is behind Bitcoin , who controls it, how much is their control ( I know no one controls it, the 'system' does, and in a benevolent way,  and I am suppose to believe that? , and at the same time believe that governments are controlled by 'bad' people)) private currency, because for it to have any meaning it needs to become a currency, not just another 'cool' thing to gamble with.
Now we can all agree that governments do a pretty bad job generally of everything.  So that leaves what?  Corporations, whose only purpose is profit; individuals like Gates, Bezos, Zuckerberg,  and all the other rich that we don't even know who they are,  who have amassed so much wealth that they are kind of in control.  I certainly don't want the fate of the world to be in the hands of companies like Exxon, or people like Zuckerfk.  And that leaves???   The only way forward is with good government, by the people and for the people.  Will we get that?  Doesn't look like it does it.  But if the 'people' continue to fight regulation , fight government, we definitely wont get it.  And then the 'big boys' ,yuck, and the corps will decide what happens, it definitely wont be the 'people'.

Sorry , Kind of got carried away there!
