RE:so my simple minded questionBasically "accumulation" is when brokers, funds etc will try to build a position in an equity they see as a "good investment" at the lowest average price possible.
by
- maintaining a "range" in price (12 month)
- not allow any sudden break out UNTIL their position is achived.
- correct any spikes to discurage retail (2.98 to 2.82 oct 1st)
- not bringing attention to said equity
- strech accumulation period as long as possible!
The longer the sp is lower the more shares at lower price. Untill of course a big event (APPLE?) at which high volume can propell sp ending accumulation at he cheap.
Take your pick of these tried and true sayings.
- Buy the rumor sell the news. (does not fit this scenario unless bad Apple hearing)
- Sell the rumor buy the news. (would give accumulators instant profit and sell into rise)
The stock market is over 400 years in the making and as creative as humans are there is always a way to bend any rule......
