RE:Why isnt the target price at least $3.15?" the sophisticated investor would normally be doing!?"
Rocky,
I'm not sure I have the authority to speak on what sophisticated investors might do, since that's one of the few things I've never been called myself.
But you're too damn close to the trees. How do you think it could happen that a “sophisticated investor” would be motivated to do the DD (financial analysis) that we both feel clearly presents a considerable value.
It’s not IMO a matter of investors agreeing that NCI presents a promising picture, it’s really just getting anyone to look. Why would they? Put yourself in the shoes of one taking a first look at our chart. Isn’t that what we always do when looking for new opportunities? I want to know how much the stock costs! I want to know how the stock has performed over time. One glance at our chart IMO fails to provide the slightest motivation to investigate further. That’s just common sense. Hoping that sophisticated investors ignore the chart and the stock's performance is IMO very unlikely, and besides they cannot create sufficient buying pressure to raise NCU.
I would make an exception for professional analysts employed by funds, banks, or major miners. Other than a buy out, etc., the way out of this hole is production news. Someday news item: “Nevada Copper increases production 25% in 2Q22”, or “Nevada Copper reports positive cash flow”, etc. This kind of news item will reach and intrigue average retail copper investors who then be motivated to do the full DD.
It will be months before demand from infrastructure spending reaches metals and months before a major mine disruption, and it will be months before PH attains full production – Our problem today is giving people a reason to look at our company and that will probalby take time.
Oh, one other thing that might get us some attention is finding a ballroom of gold and silver a la John Mackay. (When it comes to speculating, the bog goes whole hog)
