RE:Who gives a rats behind???finally a positive post on the companies strategy. I can understand those retired folks who depend on SU dividend for their income.

But they need to understand that the company needs to adjust with changing business environment. So when the bottom fell out of the market and caused damage to the balance sheet... the management team adjusted to fix it.

When the ESG driven investment firms started dumping shares so fast that the share price dropped below a fair valuation... the management team adjusted and bought up the shares of the company at bargain basement prices.

These step are exactly the correct courageous leadership actions that need to be taken. It is these actions that will drive up the long term value of the the company. we should always focus on the long term gain and suffer some short term pain if theat is what the current environment requires.
