Iscfa :
I think the co. is pushing the idea that Tetra's vape product is going to gain a share of the broad pain market beyond what Tetra's product is indicated for with terminal cancer. The clinical study is rigged because pot smoke through the lungs is always going to have faster onset than opioids that are digested through the gut. But physicians will not prescibe pot smoking for general pain due to the harmful effects. Also, there are many co.s working on the delivery of cannabis molecules via topical, sublingual, etc.
quote=ClausWalter01]For the amateur pumper crowd here are a few thoughts that I dummied down for you:
Scientifically there is nothing remotely exciting to say to the medical world they already don't know about pain and pot because that ship sailed years ago. Many, many docs gave medical cannabis prescriptions to patients who wanted to try the stuff and 100% all came back to their pharma pain meds and synthetic opiates. Pot is a poor product in general and tetra hasn’t improved it at all. Yes, people choose to smoke pot on their journey through terminal cancer because the pain is brutal. This is not new and shame on Guy for playing this story up thinking he has some magical regulatory know-how nobody else has. He always talks like tetra has some top-secret metabolite understanding about the stuff. The cherry on top was this microbiome in pot plant soil IP. Its laughable at best.
Commercially, there is no insurer that will be generous on its reimbursement for terminal stage pain cannabis because opiates work so well, and pot is shaky at best. You are competing with Black Market or better yet the Quasi-Regulated Markets, medical or otherwise. Guy knows full well he will bring a product to market (because health Canada is chalked full of amateur scientist that want so badly to justify the paper pushing) for which there is no "true" market because its already saturated with recreational and illegal cannabis stuff or untouchable reservation products. So pumpers ought to ask him to make some projections about future sales. COGS are impossible to justify when pot is pretty much legal and so accessible. Imagine that, a $600 smokable GMP strain provided by Tetra in someone else’s device for your terminal cancer pain.....again laughable and commercially a no go.
Futility is what phama call his poor clinical efforts with your hard-earned cash.
If I am Hexo or others I love that you idiot shareholders paid millions to confirm that pot is an option for terminally ill people. Duh. Tetra will boost sales for the sector just not its shareholders.
So looking forward to the tetra-defenders to lynch me on this one and use some of your sophisticated stickhandling to prove me right again and again.
bring it.
