Punching up in high THC Flower! A new DN Product to considerSo I recently bought a new Delta 9 product, a 7g flower strain "Grower's Private Stash (G.P.S.)" purchased from the Kenaston store for $57.50 ($8.21/g). I was immediately drawn to this new product while looking at their menu because of the impressive THC content of 26.47%.
From the Delta 9 website:
Handpicked by our expert grow team, the Grower’s line of cannabis is a rotating selection of Delta 9’s excellent strains that our growers saw performing especially well in our cultivation facility. While Delta 9 has always been known for our value this new product line brings that to another level, offering the potency and quality that you deserve at the price point that you want.
This is the answer back to the D9 bashers, who criticize for the arguably low THC content of many Delta 9 strains.
Any cannabis enthusiast (see Stoner) knows that THC percentage is not all there is to weed. In additiion to THC, there is CBD and many other cannabinoids that contribute to the effect. While many, including myself, would argue that THC potency is not the metric by which you should judge cannabis, there remains a large portion of the consumer base that treats THC content as if it were an alcohol percentage in liquor. These 'uneducated' consumers gravitate to a high THC potency, erroneously believing "higher is HIGHER". In order to capture market share, D9 needs to compete in this arena.
While Delta 9 is not new to higher THC strains, specifically "Cloud 9" and "Prairie Fire" previously from D9's "Premium" line of strains, the important distinction here is the price point. The previously mentioned "Premium" strains were expensive, but worth it...
This new release is cheaper than most competitor's regular flower, and beat's the pants of them in THC percentage. For a reference point, Delta 9's concentrate product "Sapphire", which is a kief powder/crystal product, is weighing in at 27.62% THC content. I love "Sapphire", especially for adding to bowls of high CBD weed (try CBD Skunk Haze from D9) to round out my high. But with a potency within 1% of their concentrate product, "Grower's Private Stash" is NO JOKE.
I found the experience to be pleasant and balanced, unlike concentrate products which seem to have a real spike effect on me, like a sugar rush. "Grower's Private Stash" got me quite high, but without the precipitous burn out 45 mins after using common to high THC products.
If you're into getting wacked out in the evenings and sleeping like a baby, you could do a lot worse than Delta 9's "Gower's Private Stash".
If Delta 9 is able to produce more high quality, high potency, cannabis flower to appeal to the percentage chasers out there, then I see Delta 9 taking a big bite out of their competion's market share. This will of course lead to high revenue, increased market share overall, and most importantly profits for the company.
The share price is sure to follow, it's only a matter of WHEN, not IF.
